About Audrey Luu
Hello! I am Audrey Luu. As a speech and debate student since 7th grade and coach since 9th grade, I am passionate about teaching and recognize the academic and social development the program offers.
Together, my mom and I coached my sister and her group of friends from 4th grade through 8th grade. As a result of our guidance and dedication, all of them qualified for state and several qualified for national competitions in multiple events. This kind of success is unprecedented for students in their freshman year of high school. I've always been social and enjoyed my time in speech and debate. The same wasn't true for my math classes, I did not enjoy the math classes as much. But my mom put me in a wide variety because she believed I had a high aptitude for achievement. I always tried to put forth my best effort and I can definitely see the results. I'm glad that my mom took the time to challenge me intellectually and see how far I could go. Now, as a Mathematical Economic Analysis Major at Rice University, I recognize just how strong of a foundation those lessons built for me. In lessons where my classmates are struggling, I'm able to succeed.
